The Regional Association of Energy Regulators for Eastern and Southern Africa (RAERESA) is an organisation that cooperate in the joint development and utilization of energy resources, creation of more favourable investment climate to encourage public and private investment, encouragement of joint utilization of training and research facilities, exchanges of information on energy systems and investment opportunities, and development of research programmes on renewable energy systems.
The overall objective of RAERESA is the harmonization of rules as they pertain to energy and promote good governance in order to brand the energy sector, as well as to improve the services of the existing energy infrastructure through enhanced efficiency.
